Melissa Gendreau was born and raised in New England, where she discovered dance through local
community theater. As a student at the Dean College School of Dance, Melissa performed in various
student choreographed shows, and was featured in the Dance Companies. She received her Bachelors of
Arts in Dance with minors in Business and Psychology in 2007. Melissa has studied with many
choreographers, dancers and master teachers, including Nailah Randall-Bellinger, Jill Silverman, and Larry
Keigwin, and has performed with companies such as Bennett Dance Company, Anahata Dance, JSXtension,
and Kelly Donovan & Dancers. As a guest choreographer, Melissa has produced original works for Salve
Regina University and Providence College. Her innovative and original choreography has been seen in
around the country at conventions, competitions, festivals, and private functions.
